Badam Cookies

Ingredients

Dough

  • MFM Cap Bunga Cempaka All-Purpose Flour 150g
  • Daisy Margarine – 120g
  • Icing Sugar – 60g
  • Vanilla Essence – 1 tsp
  • Almond Powder – 70g


Filling

  • Sliced Almond

Method

  • Cream the margarine and sifted icing sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add vanilla essence and mix well.
  • Add the sifted flour and almond powder.
  • Mix until a smooth dough is formed.
  • Roll out the dough between two sheets of plastic to 1cm thickness.
  • Cut into desired shapes using a cookie cutter.
  • Arrange cookies on a baking tray greased with melted margarine.
  • Brush the surface with egg yolk and decorate with sliced almonds.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C for 10–15 minutes until fully cooked.

Steps to Make Badam Cookies

  • Step 1: Prepare the Dough
    In a mixing bowl, cream the margarine and sifted icing sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla essence and mix until well combined.

  • Step 2: Mix the Ingredients
    Add the sifted MFM Bunga Cempaka All-Purpose Flour and almond powder. Mix gently until a smooth dough is formed.

  • Step 3: Roll & Shape
    Roll out the dough between two sheets of plastic until 1cm thick. Cut into desired shapes using a cookie cutter.

  • Step 4: Arrange & Decorate
    Arrange the cookies on a greased baking tray. Brush the surface with egg yolk and decorate with sliced almonds.

  • Step 5: Bake to Perfection
    Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C for 10–15 minutes, or until fully cooked. Allow to cool before serving.
